As a kid, I always loved being near the water and dad had an old boat he kept in his father's junk-filled garage. Occasionally he would open the garage so we could see the boat, but we never took it out on the water.

My dad and I were always avid fishermen; my brother Ed was "so-so" about fishing. Dad and I fished a lot locally, and always planned at least one annual fishing trip to Ontario, Canada.
