It was 8:40 a.m. on Saturday morning and we were walking out to the single engine Cessna Grand Caravan that was to take us down to Crocodile Bay from San Jose, Costa Rica for a fishing adventure of a lifetime. After a 45-minute flight, with beautiful 8000 feet views, we arrived at Crocodile Bay around 9:15 a.m. We were greeted by the General Manager, Beau Williams, along with a nice refreshing frozen drink - which Beau was more than happy to add some spirits to. After a tour of the grounds, we were greeted at the Pier by the 35 ft Strike Yacht Tower Boat which was idling and the First Mate began washing my shoes off so I could board the boat. As the title of my story alludes to, these people are serious about fishing!Read More | Share Your FISH!
I grew up with a passion for fishing. Inspired by my father, my love for the sport grew stronger in my teens and early 20's. As a young man from Pennsylvania, my trips to coastal North Carolina were like no other. After making it through college and finding a good job, I relocated to coastal North Carolina to fish and perhaps be a guide or work in the tackle industry. At that time, talking or meeting some of my fishing "heroes" was an amazing experience.Read More | Share Your FISH!
I was introduced to fishing when I was five-years old by my father in 1965. We would dig for worms and go Cat fishing. My father taught me all he knew. As I got older I spent more time fishing and one day I walked into a house and looked at a 12 lb. Large-mouth Bass mounted on the wall. I wanted to catch one so bad that I started Bass fishing. Read More | Share Your FISH!
