Public Policy

How does KeepAmericaFishing decide when to take action on legislative policies affecting recreational fishing?
No matter where you live, KeepAmericaFishing is working hard to ensure your favorite place to spend time on the water remains open, clean and abundant with fish. We focus our efforts on what is in the best interest of the greatest number of anglers and do all that we can to ensure that the future of recreational fishing is protected. These efforts are overseen by the American Sportfishing Association's Advocacy Committee and the association's Board of Directors who represent the sportfishing community.

How can I tell my representatives that I want them to work to protect my right to fish?
Your voice is a valuable tool. At KeepAmericaFishing, we are working to give you – one of our nation's 60 million anglers – a way to reach out to the White House, Members of Congress and other policy makers on issues that affect your right to fish.
